Curava Uses

Curava can be used in the following interior applications: kitchen countertops, vanity tops, shower and tub surrounds, table tops, furniture tops and commercial applications. Curava is not presently recommended for outdoor use. View our Gallery page to see Curava in various applications.

The Curava Difference

Other recycled glass surfacing products use cement as a binder; Curava consists of a resin binder allowing our product to be strong, stain resistant and hygiene-friendly with no need for surface sealers or waxes. A cement-based binder requires periodic sealing and is subject to staining and acidic etching without proper care. In addition, most other recycled glass surfaces can contain only small particulates compared to Curava with varying-sized glass fragments. Visit our Use & Care page to see how easy it is to maintain your surface!

Business Environments

With the push for environmental sustainability in building materials and construction, Curava is committed to offering a perfect eco-friendly product for business environments. There has been definite trend with commercial projects requesting and specifying more green materials. Commercial projects benefit by receiving LEED credits that promote both sustainable and environmentally friendly design and construction practices.

About LEED

Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a rating system designed for evaluating a building's environmental performance. The LEED system has been widely adopted for rating new and existing commercial, institutional and high-rise buildings. Visit our Sustainability page for more information about LEED points that Curava can contribute to.
